Park180 is an online platform that allows people to rent out or book parking spaces. We facilitate the transaction between spot owners and renters. Our vision is to be the number one solution to parking issues by streamlining how people find and rent out parking. Although our service launched in Halifax, Nova Scotia, it can function anywhere in the world. All transactions are completed through our secure site. Our service allows spot owners and renters perform the following:

Owners

  • Post unlimited spaces for free using the service
  • Post a description, delete, or temporarily deactivate a spot
  • Decide the dates and times a spot is available, as well as set the price per hour or block of time
  • Accept payment through the service
  • Leave a review

Renters

  • Use the service to search online for and rent a spot near a location of interest
  • Contact a spot owner for more details
  • Pay for a spot using the service
  • Use the selected space at the reserved time, or cancel the space up to 24 hours in advance of the reservation start time
  • Leave a review

1. Terms

By accessing the web site at http://www.park180.com, you are agreeing to be bound by these web site Terms and Conditions of Use, all applicable laws and regulations, and agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site. The materials contained in this web site are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law.

2. Use License

  1. Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of the materials (information or software) on Park180’s web site for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:
    1. modify or copy the materials;
    2. use the materials for any commercial purpose, or for any public display (commercial or non-commercial);
    3. attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on Park180’s web site;
    4. remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials; or
    5. transfer the materials to another person or “mirror” the materials on any other server.
  2. This license shall automatically terminate if you violate any of these restrictions and may be terminated by Park180 at any time. Upon terminating your viewing of these materials or upon the termination of this license, you must destroy any downloaded materials in your possession whether in electronic or printed format.
  3. You grant us, third parties, and other users a license for permission to use content submitted by yourself through Park180. This universal, free, and transferable license grants Park180 the permission to use, edit, modify, copy, distribute, derive, and display your user content in any context related to the service Park180 provides. You grant other Park180 users a license to access, use, and display your user content in any context related to the service Park180 provides. You retain ownership of your content. You agree that you have the right to grant permission to use your content.

3. Eligibility

You agree to follow all local laws at the location where you will use Park180. Renters must have a valid driver’s license, be of age of majority to operate a motor vehicle, have authority to drive the vehicle registered with Park180, and have adequate automobile collision and comprehensive insurance. As a parking space owner, you agree that you are legally entitled to list, rent, and receive income for any space listed through Park180.

4. Basics

Registration

Registering with Park180 is free. Each spot owner and renter will create a user profile to manage their account. It is important that you provide accurate and complete information, and that you update your information if it changes. We will use this information to contact you about the service.

In order to post unlimited spots for free, spot owners are required to create a login. Spot owners set the price of each parking space. A 20% commission is collected each time someone books a space. The commission is taken from the list price set by the spot owner.

Booking spots includes the list price and sales tax, no additional fees will be incurred. Payment is due at the time of booking. Payment to the spot owner will occur within 7 days after the reservation start time.

To delete your user account, you may email us at [email protected] or contact us through your account.

Site Use

In order to provide excellent service, it is imperative that all user supplied content is accurate and up to date. Posts that contain untrue, fraudulent, illegal, offensive, incorrect, or defamatory content will be removed at the discretion of Park180.

Rules of Conduct

Owners

  • Accurately and completely describe your parking space to help renters easily identify the space.
  • Maintain the safety and accessibility of your space in the event of inclement weather.
  • You cannot adjust the price of a booking after a transaction has been made. In the event your spot is no longer available to rent, you may cancel a booking through your bookings in your account.
  • Please respect the renter’s property, do not damage their vehicle while they are using your spot. You will be liable for any damage you cause.
  • Please keep your account, listing, and contact information up to date.
  • Any violation of these terms will be grounds for termination of your use license.

Renters

  • Respect the owner’s property, you will be liable for any damage caused.
  • Please only park at a spot reserved for the designated time.
  • Please keep your account, payment, and contact information up to date.
  • Any violation of these terms will be grounds for termination of your use license.

All Users

  • Discrimination against other users will not be tolerated.
  • You are responsible for your interactions with other users while using Park180. You agree to use the service for the purpose outlined in these Terms and Conditions.
  • You will not (or will not allow any third party to) knowingly upload or download any content through Park180 that:
    • Makes a false statement;
    • Spams or harasses other users;
    • Is a virus or other entity that can disable the intended function of the service provided by Park180;
    • Misrepresents your identity to scam others through Park180;
  • You will not:
    • Overload our infrastructure;
    • Take shortcuts around procedures we have in place to restrict access to Park180;
    • Spam users through Park180;
    • Gather content from the service.
  • You agree to follow all applicable laws in your jurisdiction.
  • Any violation of these terms will be grounds for termination of your use license.

Refund Policy

A full refund will be provided for cancellations made at least 24 hours prior to a reservation start time to the initial payment method. Cancel a reservation by accessing your bookings within your account. Contact us by email at [email protected] to make a cancellation less than 24 hours from the reservation start time. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the reservation start time will be reviewed on a case by case basis and may be approved. We cannot refund reservations made within 24 of the reservation start time.

Vehicle Security

As with parking in most locations, it is necessary that drivers close all windows and lock their vehicle. Drivers also need secure their possessions, and leave valuables out of sight or at home. Park180 will attempt to help, but does not assume liability in the event that a theft of possessions or vehicle occurs. Park180 also does not assume liability in the event of damage of possessions or vehicle.

In the event of theft of possessions, or damage or theft of a vehicle while using Park180, please perform the following:

  • Let us know at [email protected]
  • Inform police through the non-emergency line.
  • Notify your insurance company.

User Conflicts

Park180 is not responsible for conflicts between spot owners and spot renters. We may attempt, but are not required, to mediate any conflict. Park180 is not liable for the outcome of conflicts between users.

User Feedback and Reporting Issues

Please leave us feedback. You can use our Feedback form to give us suggestions to improve. If you have an issue, please send us a message at [email protected]

We want you to have the best experience possible while using Park180. If you have an issue while using the service, please contact us to let us know within 24 hours of an incident. We can review and refund your stay on a case by case basis.

If you witness a crime while using Park180, please report it immediately to police. Please let us know the details of the situation (when and where the incident occurred, report number, etc.) at [email protected] This will allow us to track incidents to ensure we deliver the best service possible. Park180 does not assume liability in the event a crime occurs while using the service.

5. Disclaimer

The materials on Park180’s web site are provided “as is”. Park180 makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties, including without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights. Further, Park180 does not warrant or make any representations concerning the accuracy, likely results, or reliability of the use of the materials on its Internet web site or otherwise relating to such materials or on any sites linked to this site.

6. Limitations

In no event shall Park180 or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption,) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on Park180’s Internet site, even if Park180 or a Park180 authorized representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage. Because some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties, or limitations of liability for consequential or incidental damages, these limitations may not apply to you.
